Hi
I have a problem with my new laptop. It crashes when I visit webpages that are playing videos in windows media player.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanxs

I'm running Safari browser with OS X 10.3.9 operating system.

I have Tiger OS discs, but I haven't installed it yet. It's a fairly new OS and reviews have been so-so. I'm going to wait until they iron some of the bugs out.

I completely removed Windows Media Player. Finally (so far anyway), no more crashing, but now I keep getting the drop down Safari cannot find the Internet plug-in. Do you want to open the page? A bit of a pain to have to click cancel every time, but a lot better than the crashing every two minutes. And of course instead of a video I get the little blue cube with the question mark??

CAN YOU SOLVE THIS??
thanxs

Okay, I'm guessing your preferences for Windows Media Player are still there so simply reinstalling it will not change anything. You will probably still get crashes. Delete the preference file com.microsoft.mediaplayer.plist and then reinstall WMP. :)

Hopefully this'll fix it. Oh, and maybe repair permissions for the hell of it.
