Just last week my wife dropped something on my PB and rendered the display unusable. As the computer was over a year old I don't see the value in spending alot of money to fix it. So I'll probably buy a MacBook.
Whilst Applecare provides excellent support it wouldn't help me if something like this happened to a new machine. So I wondered whether anyone has ever insured their computer against accidental damage? Is it an option or does the price make it not worth it.
You may think I'm just being paranoid but with a new addition to the family I'm concerned that we may have a few more accidents around the house in the next year than normal (though the MagSafe will help). I may also travel with it on public transport and in the past have worried about lugging a delicate laptop around on the Tube/Subway
