Large monitor buying advice

I'm thinking about adding a second monitor on to my desk. I have the Apple 23", and while it's a great monitor, I'm not really convinced it was worth the extra money I spent on it. Now, however, the prices on all kinds of LCDs has dropped quite a bit. Given the choice, would you buy:

a Dell 24" monitor for $705
an Apple 23" refurb for $849
an Apple 30" refurb for $1699
a Dell 30" refurb for $1499

Or something else altogether?
