Large PDF files (tried several 700+ page books) do not open properly.
They show between 50-80 pages total.
When I try to print 50 pages my HP 4100 errors out after about 10 pages.

I have tried to open files in preview, Chrome, and Safari.

I also removed extra memory from printer first and used second network card on the printer, deleted printer from sys pref, and installed again.
----
I was able to print OK from another computer.

It's possible your computer does not have enough RAM or there is not enough free space on the desk for scratch files.

Restarted computer.
Have plenty of RAM left.

It looks like PDF opens OK, but when I print I get error on laser printer. I got 4o or so pages to print before error. I'll post it later.

If you print with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you'll probably find an option to print as an image (or words to that effect) instead of the PostScript language being sent to the printer. That sometimes works around problems with quirky documents.

Earlier I printed from a Windows machine using a PDF reader and selected as a graphic... Each page was Very slow to print and I have cancelled the job.

Don't know what has changed or broken in the Mac. I was able to print those files before.
