I hope this has not been already discussed. My cousin got her iPhone 13 Pro Max yesterday. After 2h of continuous usage she started noticing some significant eye-strain which then escalated to a full-blown headache. Our first (obvious) suspect was, of course, the new pro-motion display or some invisible issue such as 5G waves. However, with deeper examination we came to the conclusion that the smaller notch somehow causes these symptoms. Turns out that the smaller notch draws attention and almost acts like a magnet to the eyes and therefore its very difficult to keep your eyes on the contents of the screen. With proper notch models such as iPhone 12 Pro Max no problems. Any of you guys noticed something similar? Would it be possible to revert back to the proper, larger notch somehow? Would 12 Pro Max display fit 13 Pro Max? Or is there possibly some stylish "notch sticker" available which would do the trick?

Sorry, but I'm not following your train of thought here at all. What "deeper examination" did you actually do to come to the conclusion that the notch is giving your cousin headaches? That seems like a pretty far "out there" hypothesis to be frank. I guess an easy way to test this would be to get some black electrical tape and tape across the top of the screen so that the bottom of the tape is even with the bottom of the notch - then see if she still gets headaches. I just can't imagine that is actually the cause of the problem, though. I can't relate at all to it drawing my attention (I honestly don't even notice it on my 13 Pro Max . . . neither did I on my 12 Pro), but even if it did, how would looking at the notch cause a headache? LOL

Headache maybe caused by over use of new phone (we all do it) and the high frequency PWM flickering of the OLED display (which should be less troublesome than the 12 series).
So far with early feedback, some are saying that the 13 pro models don’t bother their eyes or heads as much as previous OLED screens but not everyone
