Largest possible 2.5" ATA Hard Disk that can be put in an Apple TV?

I'm done my research and am planning on upgrading the 40gig hard disk inside my apple TV.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what is the largest sized disk that can be accommodated inside the unit?

I know it's a 2.5" ATA drive, of which currently, Western Digital makes a 250gig model. That would be ideal.

Will that work? Or will I have to go smaller?

The current largest is 320 gigs (WD).

Ooooh! Good catch. What is the largest PATA - 160 gigs?

I just checked with Western Digital, not any other manufacturer, but they have a 250 ata drive.

Seemed pretty reasonable to me, until I realized 3.5" 500GB are $100.

Still Apple wants $100 to go from 40GB Hard Drive to 160GB Hard Drive in the Apple TV.
