Lasso & FileMaker vs. PHP & MySQL? Is Lasso still relevant?

About 10 years ago I was heavily into building dynamic sites using Lasso and FileMaker. Now I'd like to build a database driven site again and am wondering if Lasso and FileMaker are relevant anymore. How do they stack up in terms of performance and scalability? How well would a solution do using Lasso and MySQL instead of FileMaker? Would Lasso still be a bottleneck? Any thoughts?
