Hello,
Since last week I have been waiting for the new stock of iMacs to come and I am trying to resolve all my doubts.
I had the idea of buying the i3 27" iMac because of the difference in the price between the i5 27" (2799 vs 3399 USD).
I use Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, iWork, iLife, sometimes Logic apart from the casual uses such as safari, mail, Messenger and Word processing. Also some gaming but not much since I have a Wii and PS3 and I am not a graphics nor frames freak.
I currently have a late 2006 core 2 duo white iMac with 2GB RAM. I usually have Photoshop, iTunes, Safari (with 5 or more tabs), Messenger and maybe another not demanding program. I want to have a good experience, I do not want the beach balls and the not responding programs anymore. So from what I have described above is the price difference really worth it? Will the i3 feel sluggish?
Thank you and I am sorry for making another thread of this type but I searched and could not find exactly what I wanted and since I am paying around 3000 for a computer I must be sure that it will be good! I hope that the iMacs arrive tomorrow, I call everyday and they tell me they will arrive the next day, they never do, I've been calling since last wednesday!

Those aren't very CPU intensive apps, so an i3 should be sufficient. You may want to upgrade the RAM to 8GB though
