Does anyone know if the refurbs of the last generation iMacs (the 2.8 24" specifically) come with an apple remote? They did when new, correct? What about the old keyboards?

This may tip my decision one way or another whether to go current gen or last.

In general, any iMac that came with a remote comes with a refurbished iMac as well or at least they should. New = Refurbished just with minor repairs/fixes.

I don't know the timeline (only the generation) and the latest generation does not include the remote (pretty sure they had it for the last generation and only stopped now). So if OP is looking to buy the previous generation iMac, the remote should be included.

I thought that Apple stopped including remotes with new computers a year ago.

The iMac that was only just rendered obsolete a couple months ago (the one with just minor speed bumps from April 08) still including the remote - I got one with my brand new iMac that I purchased in June 2008.

Maybe it was the MB/MBPs. I'm not sure now:confused:

@flopticalcube- Don't you have to be a 6052a?

...and don't you need to be a member for x months?

The OP has been a member since 2004. So he doesn't have to worry about that. I just could have sworn that you need to be a 6052a to access the Marketplace.

*duh, I just saw your LOL. I really need to go to bed
