Originally my thoughts about the use of "peek" implied looking forward to something like a Mac Pro or Apple Glasses. But as we've gotten some rumors closer to the event, it's definitely a reference to the 27" Apple Studio display. And it could be a peek at the new display that's coming "later this spring" a.k.a. June because it has the mini LEDs that Ross Young spoke of being ready in June.

Obviously the performance is definitely going to be about the Mac Studio desktop. It will probably have the performance that Mark Gurman spoke about. Apple might imply that this is the high-end desktop for 2022; basically omitting the Mac Pro from receiving Apple silicon in 2022.

I'm not sure we'll see a 13" MacBook Pro with M2. Or M2 at all. But we may be pleasantly surprised?

As has been mentioned endlessly, we'll also get the iPad Air & iPhone SE 3, and software updates. So that's basically the show.

It is a peek for the upcoming the Mac Pro, because Apple cannot sell it right now as the 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro still has long delivery times (and the Mac Pro is supposed to use 4 x M1 Max).

The 27” iMac can be produced today, just put in the M1 Max in it and done. So not sure why we need a “peek” for that.

I think the a new screen with some kind of internal processing (for 120Hz or some "tvOS-like" features) seems quite likely to align with the "peek" play on words. Some kind of more powerful Mac Mini also looks likely, but I'm not sure if this is intended to be used with the new screen to replace the iMac 27; I can't see Apple abandoning the larger all-in-one just yet because I expect it is a popular product.

I'm genuinely curious about this event. The rumours have been all over the place....

As usual, I set my expectations low to avoid the "meh-factor". In any case, I'm not in the market for any new gear having already blown my budget for the next year on a new MBP, which has been a great choice :)
