I add a soft sub track for the foreign language elements of movies that need it, and leave the subtitles on all the time on my ATV. This works fine, except that the last subtitle shown does not clear. It stays on screen for the balance of the movie.

I create the subtitle track in Jubler, and each one - including the final subtitle - has a start time and an end time. It seems, though, that if there is no subsequent subtitle the last end time is not recognised. It doesn't matter how far apart the subs are; if there is one to follow, it clears perfectly on schedule; if not, it stays up.

Any ideas?

TIA

I used to have a problem like that with Handbrake and encoding Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Half the subtitle would show up, and it would reach a point where it wouldn't update the subtitle anymore. My WDTV Live would play the file with the subtitles just fine and that made it even more frustrating. One day I bought iFlicks through the App store and redid the MKV file through that to the Apple TV 2 preset and the subtitles worked just fine so I've been using that since then and haven't had a problem with subtitles.
