Okay - so here is the problem guys.
I've gotten a Late 2006 Intel iMac - 17". the stupid disc drive has a tendency to try and eat my discs. Tried just about everything possible, but finally got the disc out using 3 pairs of tweezers [don't ask].
I want to try and repair the drive myself, and after talking to Apple - it was essentially decided this is an alignment issue with the drive.
Problem is this -
Every diagram I've viewed shows the iMac's back lifting out, however, this is not the case on mine it seems. The front comes off just fine, but not the back.
Can someone either link a pic, or explain to me how I am supposed to access the drive, logic board, etc.
It would be really appreciated.
