I have a late 2009 iMac Corei7 that I have a mini-displayport to VGA adapter connected.

I have an external 23" LCD connected.

I am wondering if there is a way to connect a second external display? Is there such an animal as a mini displayport splitter or the like?

Has anyone else done this? Ideas?

Seriously?

I've done some looking and nearly every solution I've seen has its limitations.

There's either a USB to DVI connector which tends to be laggy and/or a Matrox dual headed adapter that costs over $200 that allows you to hook two 24" monitors to the single mini-displayport.

Decisions, decisions.

I was wondering this myself but I don't think you can. I know you can daisy chain using the thunderbolt port (possibly mdp?) but there is no splitter that I know of or could find.

Ah

The problem with the USB to DVI solutions is they tend to be laggy - not suitable for video or high refresh situations. Since my Mac does not have Thunderbolt I will have to look at other options.

Seems like that USB-DVI adapters does not work anymore in latest MAC versions like High Sierra. Does anyone have one or know about one that actually works?

Thanks
