Hi All-

I know this question has been asked before, but I've been searching the threads and trying the solutions and still no avail.

I have a late model 2009 mini that I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and bought a new BT mac keyboard. It won't recognize the keyboard, or anything really. I remember trying to pair my iPhone when I first got it six months ago, but I never had the time to follow up on the problem. I've tried turning off the computer, toggling the bluetooth on and off, checked the batteries, unplugged the usb keyboard...and the BT just blinks and blinks. My iPhone can find it, but the mini can't. I've also deleted the preference file and shut down.

Any help? Thanks a ton!

lately i've been staying away from Bluetooth and been using 2.4ghz wireless instead. they work great. Never have to worry about discovering or pairing anything

If you sit the keyboard right on the mini, will it pair?

Wow, what a difference 6 inches makes. It will pair sitting directly on top of it, but loses the connection even 2 inches away. Obviously, this isn't ideal. I think I'll just buy a USB bluetooth, since I can't return the keyboard. Man, Apple USED to "just work". Thanks for your help.

Unless anyone knows how to beef up the Mini BT signal?

Thanks again.

The Bluetooth antenna has come disconnected from the board... Very common. Have you ever had the machine open? Can you open the mini yourself, otherwise, take it to an AASP, it takes less than 1/2 hour, should be minimum service charge.
