The graphics card in my late 2011 model Mac crapped out. Thinking about buying a used Mac online to fix it? Curious as to what years would be compatible with my late 2011 model? TIA

In my opinion... it’s a waste of time, and effort, and money. The donor machine will still have the same flaw. You would be better off buying a mint used 2014/15 MBP 15

Is this weak point fixed in the 2014 2015 models?

Yes... different gpus

In fact... half of Macrumors would probably say that the 2015 MacBook Pro was the greatest MacBook of all time!

If you can afford it. Get a 2015 refurb from Apple with AppleCare.... you won’t regret it
