Yep. This is an 8GB kit. It is 2x4GB.

It should work, but that memory will only operate at PC3-10600 (1333MHz) in the Mini whereas stock RAM is PC3-12800 (1600MHz). Probably not a huge difference, but just thought you should be aware.

That is correct. That RAM is not within the Apple specifications for the late 2012 model Mac Minis. Even if it seems to work I would not recommend using that RAM. You want to use PC3-12800 RAM running at 1600Mhz. I prefer buying matched pair kits of Crucial or Kingston brands despite the extra cost. Shop around for the best prices online if you want but for reference here are the listings from Crucial direct...

• PC3-12800 DDR3
• Unbuffered
• Non-parity
• 204-pin module
• 1600 MHz

For $49 it is worth a shot. It seems to meet all of the specs.

That's simply what Apple puts in the 2012 Mac Mini's. Ivy Bridge processors can use 1333mhz RAM just fine and since the memory controller is now built into the processor (unlike the C2D and before) as long as the memory meets Intel's specs, there should be little chance of having a problem.....
