Hi Guys

My late 2012 Mac Mini has started shutting itself down for no reason.I get an error message saying the computer has shut down because of a problem, and it gives me a readout to send to apple, which i have sent.

It does it the first time just after switching on then it's ok for about an hour then it happens again, same error message.

The computer on light does not go out,but the monitor goes off, then comes back on again.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Alan

It says Spinlock acquisition timed out.

I just googled your question / issue and found a number of pages either suggestions to further diagnose your issue. Could be software or hardware related. First step seems to be to boot into safe mode and disable or uninstall the time lock error app. Etc.

Thanks Donoban

I also googled the question and found a lot of answers.

I recently updated Flash Player which some sites say is the problem.

I have uninstalled Flash Player completely and so far i have not had any problems.

I will keep testing today and hopefully there will be no more problems .
