Late 2013 i5 2.7, 16GB, 1TB Fusion vs 2018 Mac Mini

hi guys,

Bit of a n00b and need a quick response to this as in a major dilemma.

I had completely decided on a new mini 2018 (base spec) but now have the opportunity to buy a late 2013 iMac with 16GB ram and specs in title for basically half the price of the mini.

I have already bought monitors for dual screen with the mini but this could support both so potential 3 monitor display.

How do you think it would compare in terms of performance and is getting this half price worth it do you think given its 5 years old?

Use wise heavily multi tabbed chrome browsing and about 6 apps open for mainly office tasks, so word email pdf. Nothing major.

Would maybe like to do some light online gaming as well.

Any advice from the pros would be appreciate as I need to decide today if I want to buy the iMac!!

a 27 inch 2013 imac might be interesting, but if it's a 21 inch, the mac mini (2018) is faster, and comes with newer tech--fast ssd, usb-c/thunderbolt 3; support for ultra highDef video etc.

graphics wise: consulting notebook check, it's sort of a wash.

uhd 630 (as found in mac min 2018)
iris pro 5200 (as found in 2013 imac)

It's nearly 2019.

Get the Mini instead!
