Hi all.

The ssd failed in my Mac and I went to have it replaced. To cut a long story short I no longer have the ssd therefore don't have the part number etc to replace it myself. It's a late 2013 mbp retina 15.

After my research I've found 655-1838 is the ssd I need although I'm quite reluctant to purchase if it's the wrong one. I also have seen the ssd adaptors to change the connection ? What's the cheapest way to do this where should I go and also how can I confirm the correct replacement ?

Looking on eBay they all look quite identical with the connectors etc but apparently most aren't compaatable ? Guessing if I plug it in the Mac won't pick it up?

Thanks in advance

Just searching around, that looks like the part number for the mid-2013. iFixit (here) is showing a different part for the late 2013.

I've never seen any internal adapter that would work with that model.
