B&H has the late 2015 iMac base model on sale (-$150)

If you just want the cheapest 27-inch iMac 5K and do not care about the slow mechanical hard drive, you could consider it (no tax in most of the states, that is ~$300 saving vs. from Apple store). PS: don't buy the 21.5-inch 4K model since the price difference is so small...

Amazon had for a few days the model mk482 i5 3.3/395/2tb fd discounted by $100, tax on my country is 11.5%, with that discount and no tax from amazon i saved $387 aprox. And arrived in 3 days. With $112 i bought 16gb of ram for a total of 2,312

Personally, I'd pay the extra $150 and purchase it through Apple......absolutely no hassle if you need to return or have issues.
Purchased through 2nd party can be a crap-shoot.

Any customization brings it back to normal price. I guess, they have too many stock iMacs which aren't meeting common demand.
