Late 2018 or just 2018?

Their tech specs just refer to Mac mini (2018). For those that have gotten theirs: Does your about show Late 2018?

Apple has been dropping the Early/Mid/Late from Macs since the 2016 MacBook Pro. Not a fan of this change, as early next year Mac mini (2018) will already read like something that is a year old, while Mac mini (Late 2018) won't.

Thanks. I guess they assume there will never again be two releases of a product in the same year.

That's right. With modern Apple's treatment of the Mac, we're lucky if we get just one refresh in a year...
