I don't know if it's just me but playing now with my new 3G 64Gb it's something like I noticed is the speed of the system. I noticed also the graphics when playing is so much smoother. I just compared it to the pre-ordered wifi.

I don't know, maybe it is just me.. I got my 3G yesterday

Quick add.. The wifi is so stable. It is always on full bar. 3G signal is same as my iPhone!

I'm finding it very hard to follow what you are saying, but this is what I think you mean:

You got a Wifi-only model when it was first released, by preordering one. You now have a 3G model too. Comparing the processing speeds between both, you are wondering if the processor has been upgraded or changed in any way.

I don't think there are any hardware differences beyond the 3G, GPS etc. It's more likely that it's all in your mind if the difference is barely noticeable, or there may be something wrong with your Wifi-only model if the difference is quite clear. Perhaps it would be worth letting Apple take a look at your Wifi-only model.

Let me know if I've misunderstood your post.

pete - yes, exactly. but im not saying they changed the processor, probably a slight change on ram? chipset? backing up also on the 3G is way, way faster than the wifi model.

I just got my 3G 64 GB yesterday and I had the same exact feeling when compared to our other 16GB Wifi. The 3G/64 one has a tiny bit of extra zip to it.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who noticed it too! :)

Well, I have a 32GB wifi on preorder for release here in the UK. Im not sure if the hardware is any better on newer models, but hey, heres hoping.
