After the USPS losing my iMac for two months, it's finally here! I ordered it to replace the 17" one I've never been able to make work. There's just one problem with it, which is some slight arm damage. When I moved the screen up and down it makes a nasty scraping sound, which I discovered is two bent pieces of metal on the arm. My current plan to fix it is small pliers, but has anyone else dealt with this before or have any better ideas?

I've read that iMac G4s are prone to having the arm give out eventually. Luckily the one I have is in excellent shape, even has has the plastic on it still.

It's hard to see what exactly is bent in your picture. If it's useable and still holds up the screen, I'd let it be.
