latest beta auto brightness issues?

Anyone having issues with their phone defaulting to a very dim auto brightness on the new beta or is it just me?

Yes, and it is quite annoying. Especially if you're outside in the sun... it's hard to tell if your phone's screen is on or not. I've tried shutting down and restarting, but so far it seems to keep doing it.

I found a work-around:
Settings > Display & Text Size > Scroll to the bottom and turn off Auto-Brightness.

I don’t have that setting. It’s settings. Display and Brightness. And then option for True Tone only.

I have the same bug with AOD turned off. As soon as I turn AOD on it seems to be fixed as long as it is turned on...

Go to Settings - Accessibility - Display and Text Size - scroll down to Auto Brightness and turn it off

I’m having the auto brightness feature also giving me problems. Even though it’s off, it does tend to adjust itself for no reason whatsoever. I have reported this already like two or three times. 🤷‍♂️ iPhone 15 PM iOS 18B4 (second one they pushed out)
