With the latest beta (I'm using an iPhone 6S almost a year old) my phone is shutting down with a lot of power left, when I try to restart it, I get the no power left image. I can only turn it back on after a while of not trying. And even then it doesn't last very long.

Is anyone else getting this behaviour?

Seems that some people have had some similar battery issues:

my iphone 5 battery was so crippled, it shut down at 100% charge after 15 mins off the charger from a 4hr+ charge (so its definitely full) as soon as the battery temp dropped to around 10c, which is well within apple's posted limits...

ur battery is shot

How consistent is it? I've had it happen to me once or twice in the past few years and usually a couple of charge cycles sorts itself out.

I don't think this is caused by iOS 10, but by the iPhone itself. I had the same exact problem with my 5s (or was it with my 4s?) years ago and I took it to the Apple Store. They ran some diagnostics, told me that the battery was faulty and they gave me a new iPhone.

I've had this happen with my 6s a few times on iOS9. I think it is just a bug. Very annoying but since I carry two phones rarely a major problem for me. Phone restarts after being plugged into charger.

This happened to me on my 6s, specifically during the winter when it was fairly cold. I'd plug it into a power bank I had on me and it'd boot right up and still show 30%. It's an annoying bug.

Yes, I am also. It's not just a depleted or "worn" battery - it has started happening very particularly with this beta. They changed something with the power management routines perhaps?

Very annoying...was at a concert and had to use my daughters phone to take photos and video and at 30% mine shut off. Stupid.
