I have an older iPhone 7 Plus, ever since the update to 12.1.4, it killed my cellular connection so I was unable to make phone calls. Attempting to do a restore on iTunes failed, bricking the phone and preventing it from being able to turn on.
I was able to get it back again by using another iTunes to do a restore. The cellular works again, but now the screen freezes, tapping on apps doesn't work, and it's generally nonresponsive. Hard resets doesn't work, so the next step is to reset all settings, and failing that wipe the phone and start over.
I actually got a replacement from Verizon and the SAME ****ing **** is happening, so I can confirm this is software related.
Anyone else have similar issues, particularly with older iPhones? I have another Xs Max that worked fine with the upgrade to 12.1.4, but this is hands down the worst upgrade I've ever seen so far on my older phone. Appreciate any feedback on how this can be fixed.
