I have a mac mini 2.5 i5 latest model with 16GB of memory.

Since upgrading to mavericks everything seems slower, dreamweaver, photoshop, opening browser, booting up, file browsing, just seems like my whole machine slugs along. Would I be able to do a fresh install of mavericks somehow I am wondering? As all my files are on a usb3 disk so I wouldnt lose anything so to speak.

I had similar issues on my early-2011 13" MBP after upgrading to Mavericks. Was a relatively recent ML install that I upgraded from too.

Anyway, all good after a clean install. I used:

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction

(taken from http://arstechnica.com/apple/2013/1...otable-os-x-10-9-mavericks-usb-install-drive/).

I experienced this issue too, what I did was backup all my files and a clean install.
