Is there a huge gap in term of performance between the latest Macmini and my old MBP core duo 2.16, 2GB RAM, which is 4 yrs old now ? I don't need to move anymore with my MBP, I don't care about graphic performance, it's only for music...
Mac Mini has a faster processor, faster ram, ability to have 8GB of RAM, etc. I recommend to get the base Mac Mini and upgrade the RAM and hard drive in the future.

I love my Mini! Hey what 7200 drive did you get? I got the 7200 Scorpio
Black and ended up taking it back because it kept parking its heads while
idle every 3-10 seconds. After 2 days I was at 3000 load and unload cycles.
I got a 500gig Seagate 5400 as a replacement and it's working okay, not
quite as fast but I love the space. I got sick of the clicking.
=)
What drive did you get? Does it park its heads like crazy? Loud/soft clicks?
