Hello,

Since I have upgraded to the latest OSX, my iMac drops my wired ethernet sigal. Usually the only thing that gets it working again is restarting or using Wi-Fi. Ive called Apple on this several times but issue has not been resolved yet. My son also mentioned he has same problem with his iMac in another state. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks,
Bill

... my iMac drops my wired ethernet sigal.

What do you mean by "drops my wired ethernet signal"? Is your Network preference pane switching suddenly from "Connected" to "Not Connected"?

Also, there seem to be many others with the same problem since using OS X 10.8: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4136706?start=0&tstart=0. One person in this thread even got a new motherboard from Apple to fix the problem. If your iMac is still under warranty you should not stop pressing Apple to do something about it. Sorry that I cannot offer real help here and now ...

No, I have not checked that but I am online and I cannot load web pages, receive mail, etc. Thanks.
