Hi,

Since I installed the latest update for El Capitan (10.11.4) on my iMac late 2012 and MBP 2009, it takes about 3 times longer for the machine to wake up after sleep. I've tried PR ram reset, that didn't do anything. Have anyone else had this issue, and can it be fixed? Since this happened to several of my macs, I'm thinking there is a bug/flaw in the update itself. Anyone?

Thanks!

Same. Also the keyboard goes haywire sometimes endlessly repeating pressed key after sleep. Imac late 2012

Thanks, I guess this is a widespread issue. This reminds me of Windows, ie. the more updates the "worse" the performance gets.

wolfie -

Off topic, but how's the 10.11.5 beta working for you?

On topic -- I disable the "sleep image" as a matter of course on ALL my Macs. Easy to do with this terminal command:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0

To save space, I delete the existing sleep image:
sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage

You can re-enable it by using:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3

How many threads are you planning to start on this subject?

Beta doesn't seem like its fixed much. Everything on the iMac 2012 is still so choppy and sluggish when moving windows around.

This is what I'm seeing as well but wasn't sure when it started. It certainly could have coincided with the recent El Cap update. I haven't made any changes (it ain't broke, don't fix it) either.

What I noticed recently is when I wake the machine up in the morning, I have no new emails (I have T'bird running/open all the time). I have to wake it up and then a few seconds later, mail starts populating. I also am unable to remotely access it using TeamViewer. It shows as offline.

WTF? I wasn't even aware I made a third thread, I'm a bit out of it these days (flu or whatever). The first time I made a mistake with the title of the thread, and people were quibbling - so I made a new thread. The third one, ok... Too bad it's not possible to delete a thread or change the title, dumb.
