As usual I saw an update notification pop up and decide to update my mac this morning. It's a 2020 MBP i5.
Half an hour into the update the screen turned black. I waited another half hour without any signs of life, so I pressed the power button. Still nothing. Tried to a P-Ram reset. Nothing. Left it for a bit.
Came back 2 hours later, tried my luck again, pressed the power button and my screen looked like this:

So I turned the mac off and ever since it just stays black. Tried to power it on multiple times but no luck what so ever. Any idea what to do or just straight to the Apple Store?

shut off, boot holding Apple+Option+R (Hope you are connected to ethernet), run Disk Utility, try to reboot, if unable erase drive and reinstall from backup.

Tried that 20+ times but the screen won't even turn on.

I lost a MacBook Pro to High Sierra years ago (it killed the hard disk) but never seen a GPU or LCD go dead from anything of the sort!
