Hi,

Since I installed the latest update for El Capitan (10.11.4) on my iMac late 2012 and MBP 2009, it takes about 3 times longer for the machine to wake up after sleep. I've tried PR ram reset, that didn't do anything. Have anyone else had this issue, and can it be fixed?

Thanks.

The title of your thread doesn't make sense. You say it wakes up from sleep...then you say it takes 3 times longer to wake up the machine. So which is the problem?

The machine waking up on its own when sleeping or the Mac taking 3 times longer to wake up after you try and wake it up?

I think it makes sense if you read the post. I posted the message before finishing the title, but then saw it's not possible to change the title or delete the post afterwards, which is dumb.

After I installed the latest OSX update on both my late 2012 iMac and 2009 MBP, the time it takes for the machine to wake up from sleep has become 3x longer than it used to be. Looks like a flaw in the update/patch. Anyone been able to fix this? PR-ram reset did nothing. I'd rather not clean reinstall the entire OSX again, which takes many hours.
