i'm on 440 cycles now according to coconut battery. what is everyone else up to? Walked into the apple store to ask them a question and mentioned that i was at that cycle count and they told me to make an appointment to get it replaced.

Good suggestion. That’s too high for a year old phone.

? Based on what? It all depends on how much they used it. If they’re consistently on their phone it’s easily believable, that’s a little over a charge per day completely within possibility.

i think he means the battery has already been used a lot, not that it’s impossible to believe. I would definitely pay the $39 for a new battery.

Update: so the phone stopped charging and I went into the store. They tested it and gave me a white box new iPhone 8. I’m pretty happy :)

That's odd. It wasn't due to cycles at least, 440 is high for the timeframe, but it wasn't in absolute terms.
I am at 301 on my 2-year-old iPhone 6s. I'm not a heavy user at all. A family member who bought the phone the same day I did is at around 700.
