Launching Command and Conquer 3

I have just installed Command and Conquer 3 on my intel iMac 20" running OS10.5 (Leopard).

On launching C&C3 I see the splash page but nothing appears to be happening. Is it simply very slow to launch, or is there something else that is going wrong?

Can I improve the launch time?

I get the same problem on Windows and on my older MPB. Get a faster video card and it launches faster

The long launch times were addressed in the patches following initial release. Have you applied the patches?

Command and Conquer

Haven't loaded the patches and updates yet; will do and see how that impacts on the load times.
