Photoshop CS6 with apparently latest updates (13.0.6) refused to launch for me - circle with a line through it icon.

So I had a poke in the package contents for Photoshop CS6.app and I was able to successfully launch it from the unix file and start doing things. Not tested extensively yet, but so far so good without a crash.

Two ways to launch it:

1. Right-click on 'Photoshop CS6.app' then click 'Show Package Contents'
2. Navigate via Contents -> MacOS
3. Open the unix file 'Adobe Photoshop CS6'

Or if you run this from a terminal:

/Applications/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ Photoshop\ CS6 ; exit;

is There any easy way to launch it by setting up a shortcut for the dock?

You could just drag the unix file onto the dock's folder/file shortcut bit on the right.

Probably, I don't have Illustrator to try but the app is 64-bit like Photoshop.
Will the icon be that of the Photoshop app or a Unix file icon if I drag it into the dock?

I went through the steps you suggested and it crashed immediately when it started to launch. :(

I can confirm this indeed works. The only downside is the somewhat "ugly" Unix icon in the dock as opposed to the photoshop icon lol

How did you get it to work for you? I tried this and it looks like Photoshop is about to open, then it doesn't.

I would like to know if there are additional errors over Mojave despite it launching. On Mojave, I get constant popups saying this app is not optimized. Acrobat X behaves oddly (trouble with print preview) and continually crashes when I try scan a document. Photoshop also crashes much more often. Dreamweaver is very unstable. This is basically why I am not upgrading to Catalina. I use Acrobat a lot, but everything else I use so sparingly there is zero reason for me to subscribe to CC.

It works for me, but I think there's an issue when you try to save a file. A couple of times I opened existing files, did some minor mods, saved it fine as a PSD, then attempted to save the file as a JPG and it quit, got this popup:the pop up:

CS6Popup.jpg

Has anyone else had issues trying to save a file as a jpg? Saved fine as a PSD, but when I went to save it for the web... no dice. However, if I just saved it as a JPG in the main menu, it was saved.
