I love Lion and never had any bugs/problems with it, except this annoying one where the Launchpad icons sometimes rearrange on their own after a reboot. It makes organizing them the way you want a frustrating experience.

Is this bug fixed in Mountain Lion, anyone know?

i organized them the way i wanted, have rebooted twice, and they're still where i put them.

this of course, is just one person's experience so far...

all the discussions of ML that i've seen have indicated that this should be fixed under ML. I gave up using launch pad with Lion because of this annoyance.

Has anybody noticed that Launchpad is using less screen area in ML? On my 27" screen there is a large border of empty space around the icons which is quite wasteful. I used to have 3 pages of icons and now I have 4. I'm not sure why they would do this.

It probably has a lot to do with the search bar at the top.

Anyone else running into icon folders getting renamed? Whenever I restart my computer, it renames one of my folders in Launch Pad from "Utilities" (what I set it to) to "Other", which has all my utility programs in it. Except, it also keeps throwing Image Capture in that folder too, however I have it outside of a folder.

Its getting pretty annoying.
