launchpad search bar cannot type

I did not have the problem before upgrading to this new version. I encountered this problem several times and had to reboot my Imac for the flashing cursor to reappear.


I did not have the same problem with my macbook air, which got upgraded almost the same time with my iMac.

I would like to know if there are bugs in this version of OS? or there is something wrong with my IMAC.
