launchpad too dim?

Is anyone's launchpad too dim? the brightness is very low when I go to launchpad.

Yes, I see the same thing. Very dim when launchpad comes up.

It actually goes away after a restart

I don't think it's less dim than before. What I notice is the icon is now 3D like.

It seems to me it's just how Apple wants it to be. That's not a criticism, but rather an observation.
