My 17" Seems to be brighter along the bottom edge....I've never had a notebook before, is this normal due to the backlighting?

Maybe a little teensy bit... but it should be almost unnoticable while you're working. Can you take a picture for us?

Here are the images, last one I messed with the white balance, I believe it gives a more true idea of what I am seeing.

My 14 days are up on thursday........

Hey there,

got that bleeding on my first 17" MBP Hi-res as well, and the second (not as bad as the first one though). Now I am waiting for my third one, due to ship the 6th of august :(

Oh well, good things come to those who wait (I hope) :)

I think this is a common complaint on the CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent tube) backlit displays and I think is something the LED lit displays have reduced

Mine was deliveried last Wednesday, week 26 model, and my screen looks the same as yours, and is slightly dark in the bottom corners.

Mine seems to get brighter towards the bottom center. I use IBMs at work and although there not as bad they do exhibit the same issues. An LCD quirk I guess.
