LCD Cable Connector Replaceable?

Hi everybody. I recently replaced my HDD with an SSD. However, when I was plugging everything back in the screen fell forward and rip the cables out. I replaced the damaged cables but now I don't get any video. I do however get video when I plug it into an external monitor. The LCD Cable comes out very easily when I pull on it from the side on the logic board. Is it always easy to pull out or should it click in? I see you can buy that piece alone on places like eBay but I haven't found a guide or information on how to do it. I'm assuming that's the problem but could use some advice. Thanks in advance!

I damaged the LCD cable when I did this on 2010 21.5 iMac, but it sounds like you damaged the connector itself. I imagine you'll need to solder it into a logic board...

Since what you're talking about is the connector, are you good at soldering, because that's what you'll probably need to do. It doesn't sound like an easy fix to me. Good luck

I had a feeling I would have to solder. I don't have much experience with it. I was hoping to find a step by step guide for it but I can't find one anywhere for this particular piece.
