I've been doing some research on buying a LCD HDTV for my new xbox 360. Can anyone tell me if this LCD would be a good pick? http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/6236.html

20" Viewsonic (approx $523 from pricegrabber)
1366 X 768 res
8ms response time
1000:1 contrast ratio
accepts 480i/p, 720i/p, 1080i

I want something for my dorm that I can haul easily back and forth from home, and for halo parties.

Seems very good. I have a Sony 32" LCD in the lounge and a Dell 2600 in the bedroom, both with intention of running the Xbox360 on.

As long as 720p & 1080i are supported you should be grand out. :D

I saw the 360 demo machine connected to an LCD and they forgot to set the machine to HD. In SD the machine doesn't look significantly better than normal xbox, once they set the screen correctly - kameo , kong, call of duty 2 and condemned all looked super sweet - as good as a top of the line pc anyway :)

i'd just get a dell 24" 2045FPW and hook your macs/pc's/xbox's/tv tuners to it.

It may be good, google for reviews and see. I've seen excellent pictures on Samsung and Sharp LCD tvs, so if you can afford one of those, it would probably be better than the Viewsonic.

The Samsungs do kick ass! - I should know - I own a 26" one!
Also, they happen to be the TVs that are used for the 360 Demo machines.

Got my 360 3 days ago! :D :D
