So I have a PowerMac G5 and an Xbox 360 that I decided to keep. I am wondering what would be the best display to utilize the High Definition of the xbox 360 and still be able to use the computer.

I've been looking at the Dell 2405FPW, because it has the component connections and I think it would be able to do High Def on the Xbox 360 that way. I don't want to get the VGA connector for it

Or I have looked at lcd tv's such as the Samsung or the Dell W2306C

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/3X_lcd23?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

But I need something with DVI and the Samsung does not have that while the Dell lcd tv does. One question too, if I get the 2405FPW, is that able to display the Xbox 360 in HD via component cables?

Thanks for the help

The 2405FPW has all kinds of inputs (including component), and it's even on sale at the Dell Canada store right now. Typically, LCD monitors have a much higher resolution than LCD TV's. Sure you can use an LCD TV as a monitor, but why would you?

I have an 17" iMac and would like to output slideshoes and movies stored on the mac to a larger LCD that is in the same room (not that I have one yet!). From what I have read it is better to get a TV to play x-box & watch movies on (rather than monitor).

i think i'm going to get the 2405fpw but sell the xbox 360 and get a gamecube to wait for the revolution
