Anandtech's review of the GTX 780 is out and here is some quote from the review:

Even though Titan is being sold under the GeForce label, it was essentially NVIDIA’s first prosumer product, crossing over between gaming and compute. GTX 780 on the other hand is a pure gaming/consumer part like the rest of the GeForce lineup, meaning NVIDIA has stripped it of Titan’s marquee compute feature: uncapped double precision (FP64) performance. As a result GTX 780 can offer 90% of GTX Titan’s gaming performance, but it can only offer a fraction of GTX Titan’s FP64 compute performance, topping out at 1/24th FP32 performance rather than 1/3rd like Titan. Titan essentially remains as NVIDIA’s entry-level compute product, leaving GTX 780 to be a high-end gaming product.

So the GTX 780 is essentially a high-end gaming card for $650, not a Titan LE for compute performance.

Then somebody got wind that the Titan LE was actually going to be named the GTX 780. They still showed the GTX 780 with 5GB of vram.
When the reference design vram was dropped down to 3GB, some people were/are disappointed.

Titan LE will have the 5GB supposedly. Plus the compute added back. Will most likely be slower at gaming than the 780 though. Who knows?

Yeah, I know what you are saying but I seriously doubt that there is a Titan LE in the offering.
I think the GTX 780 is the Titan LE.
A couple web sites show the GTX 780 and Titan LE but that was before the GTX 780 was released.

I think you are right. Same sites already are seceding that GTX 780 is Titan LE. Only other GK110 part will be a rumored 780ti or something. So compute gets no breaks this time. SW OpenCL adoption can't come fast enough to stop the Nvidia raping. GTX 770 will be GTX 680 with 11% gain and more power needs, faster RAM. You can get more out of GTX 680 in OC but the GTX 770 should be $399.00 with headroom. Good news if true.

I don't know how they came up with Titan Ultra.
The Titan Ultra was rumored at the same time as the Titan LE.
The Titan LE we can account for with the GTX 780. But there is no NVIDiA card that matches up with the Titan Ultra.....as yet.
