Photography is my hobby and I want to learn more about fundamentals like colors and lights. What would be the best way to get started without taking class?

What I meant is more artistic aspects than photographic basics. How to balance colors, lights, tonality, and so on. Since I haven't had any training on those, it's been based on my guess, and I want to teach myself more systematically.
------I read Learning to see Creatively by Bryan Peterson not long after I started. Found it pretty helpful.
Another resource which is okay, is creative live. Watch the live streams though, rather than purchase the videos. Saves you a bomb.

1. Set your camera to shoot raw
2. Don't worry about white balance, just leave it to auto
3. Switch to manual
4. Experiment with different settings (aperture, shutter speed and iso)
5. Try to shoot a slightly moving subject with various shutter speeds and try to keep the same brightness in all pictures
6. Read about techniques
7. Study other peoples work
8. Try to find your own personal style
9.Try to evolve it!
10. Before you buy more gear use 100% of what you already have
11. Do research!
12. Forget everything i wrote, now you can decide on your own
Welcome to the photographers realm!
