Can anyone please help me out. I'm interested in learning computer code, with the end result ending up with writing iphone apps.

To do this, as I've read, I will need to start with C (on a mac(I'm guessing would be best)).

Can someone please suggest some reading material. I'm happy enough to read physical books, or e-books online.

I just don't want to start paying for books that are far to indepth, or complex for where I am at. I have never written any sort of code, or program or anything, really, before.

Thank you for any helpful suggestions

Is there a public library near you? If so, it probably has a dozen or more different books on learning C. Flip though a few and find one you like. If that book is too easy or hard, just borrow another one from the library. No money wasted on an unsuitable book.

If you don't know any programming, you don't have to start with C. Start with some other possibly easier language and then switch to learning C later.

imho.

start with some online tutorials. then grab K&R. then get Learn Objective–C on the Mac. then Beginning iPhone Development.
