Hello I just upgrade from AWS5 to 6. And I’m considering getting a braided solo loop, but for the price and the material that is made of, I can see that a leather band is a good option as well.

what would you prefer?

Well since I haven’t had a chance to use the braided loop yet I can’t say my opinion on those except that their 30-40 dollars more expensive than they need to be.

But the leather loop is one of my favorite bands, it looks so classy and sleek.

I have both styles of the new loops as well as last year’s leather loops. For general use, comfort and durability day to day, the new bands win. The leather is nice looking and fairly comfortable. However, it doesn’t do well with sweat, water, and sporting activities, as it is remi-rigid. The leather if for more of a casual wear during the day or night, when you know you aren’t going to get it wet, scratched, or otherwise damaged.

What size watch do you have?

Modern Buckles (leather) are only 38/40.
Leather Loops are 42/44.

new Leather Links are 40/44.

I agree, the braided loops are more day to day wear.
And leather for work/night out or when you won't be sweating.

So I wouldn't want ONLY a leather one, but I'd be ok with only a braided one.

Depends on your use case.

I see the solo loop as being a great option if you plan on wearing your watch to sleep for sleep tracking, or if you value being able to take it off and put it on easily.

The leather band probably looks like it offers better value for money, and arguably looks better in formal settings, but has none of the aforementioned benefits.

How important is absolute comfort to you?

I have other bands for daily use. But like someone said before it feel like I’m getting a better value for the price in paying with the leather band
