Leaving Google Photos for iCloud questions

I am wanting to make a clean break of all Google products and was wondering how is access and ease of use with storing photos in iCloud and/or iCloud Photos? Any issues with missing pics? Uploading fairly smooth!

I love hearing people dump Android.

Do you have a Mac? You can open the photos app and pop them in there and it will sync to the cloud and you’re done.

No mac.... you will have to use iCloud.com on a web browser this will be tougher and longer to do.

There’s tutorials on sites like ilounge, imore, all Apple products related sites

It's been smooth and seamless for me. I sync between my iPhone and iPad. I access photos on both those devices and also directly via iCloud in a browser. I've never had any issues with it. I direct sync photos to my MacBook, but could sync there as well if I choose. Works great.
