LED 46 Full HDTV + Apple TV 2 = best video converter

I have Full HD Led TV and Apple TV (second generation). I am looking for the best video converter for mkv or avi (720 or 1080p) files. I have important video quality not file size! Maybe something you can recommend on mac app store!

I suppose you could consider Handbrake the best (though there isn't really a 'best'). ATV2 preset is good if you drop the CRF to 18.
