I have just bought a new macbook with one USBC power point, but I'd like to connect it to my rather old, but reliable LED 27" Cinema Screen, but it seems a minefield.

Can anyone advise on an accessory that can connect it to my screen.

Here are the leads

You're right. It is a minefield. I think this might work:

Start with a hub:

Magsafe to USB 3 adapter (not sanctioned by Apple, since I think MagSafe is proprietary)
https://www.amazon.com/d/USB-USB-Adapters/Certified-Magsafe1-Supports-Protocal-Charging/B075RZJS2Z

Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort (since there is no Mini DisplayPort to HDMI)
https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-DP2MDPMF6IN-DisplayPort-Video-Adapter/dp/B003N3DTKY/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1542993548&sr=8-6

Displayport to HDMI
https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-Disp...OREI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542993664&sr=8-3

  1. Plug the DisplayPort to HDMI into the hub (HDMI and USB)
  2. Plug the Magsafe to USB 3 adapter into the hub
  3. Plug the Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort in the DisplayPort to HDMI
  4. Plug the monitor leads into the appropriate places
I have no idea if this will work. If possible, I would seriously consider a new monitor. Hope this helps! :)
