Hi, guys. This post isn't an advertisement or spam. I really want to hear some feedback about our invention. It's a first LED Flash for smartphones and tablets. Portable, powerful, easy-to-use flash which can be controlled from any mobile device using 3.5 mm audio jack.

What do you think about such device? Do you really need a powerful flash for your camera phone? How much will you pay for external flash?

We are planning to launch our device at kickstarter soon and its really important to hear your feedback!

Hope thread's moderator will allow to post a few photos of device and test pictures :)

Thank you

Spoiler for MacRumors.. :)

What’s its power output?

What functions does it offer over the flash on the camera already?

How is powered and what’s the battery life like?

What’s the entry price point?

Thank you for your questions.

Power output:
So it has 350 mA current and 180 lumen/m total amount of visible light (60 degrees beam)

Functions:
- Much more light (up to X4)
- No red (white) eye effect
- Can be controlled with any iOS and Androind devices using 3.5 mm audio jack.
- Can be used for a macro light
- Ships with Free App that maximize the quality of pictures made with iblazr (brightness control)
- Can be used as a light for your Skype calls at night
- Can rotate. So you may use it with front camera or point iblazr to the ceiling
- Could be used offcamera
- and more :)

So it's a really smart.
The camera app will adapt the raw power of iblazr to the external environment so you will get the perfectly lighted face every portrait you made

Iblazr has a 180 mAh lithium battery which provides up to three hours in a constant light mode and 45 days in a sleep mode.

The pricewill be around $35.

We haven't intended to create a hardware product only, that's why it will include a photo processing possibilities, and also social features like adding photos to the instagram, facebook, twitter etc in future.

Great Idea

I personally think you have a good product idea. While LED flash is becoming standard on most of the new cell phones and tablets, there are many many already out in the market that lack the flash ability.

Your product would fit my situation perfectly. I do inspections and often work, and need to take pictures, in low to no light.

Aside that obvious application, I could see this used for many situations. I would like to see your product with the ability to change the LED output color.

On a personal note...do you have any beta's in production? PM me if you have products already available for purchase.

We have a few prototypes that we are actively testing for now. Black/White/Yellow and Premium Aluminium (3 of them you can see on the photo below)

Project will be launched on kickstarter.com in a 2 weeks.

Thank you again, it's very important to us.

Do you intend this to be a strobe flash or a flood-type led video light? Or both, depending on camera mode? The flash on my iPhone 4 is pretty weak, I could see this being helpful as an evening fill flash. Will watch for the kickstarter.

Yeah, let us know when it goes live on kickstarter! Also, I assume it will work on the 5 just will be upside down?

I have a kick light from Rift.

It alows you to control the brightness and colour of the light via Bluetooth. I don't use it all that much because of the type of photography I do, but it has some nice features for videographer's.

kick's price is too high , and it doesn't have a 3.5 mm plug, so you have to hold it when photographing; however, iblazr can be inserted in the phone's 3.5 mm audio jack, convenient

Yes it is s bit pricey. I use mine with a DSLR, as I don't really use my iPhone 6 camera all that much. However the ability to use different coloured lights is a nice feature.
It can also be attached to a lighting stand or hotshoe (with an adaptor).
